Update Update! Work been very slack. It's always bridge, sleeping and exploring places for lunch. Tried the fastfood outlets at Raffles place. Bk, Pizzahut, KFC, Macdonalds. Walked around Raffles One upteen times... Polar, guardian, Watson, tcc, etc etc. Very sad that it's gonna be over. Work been progressing too fast thus expected retrenchment date is 2nd week of June and planning to leave names at job agencies. Gonna miss the collegues, fun and laughter we shared. June 08. That's results released day! yeah. hope it will not be a disappointment.

life's been routine. pay day is June 25. which means i am broke from today till june 25. everyday is a routine, the only thing out of routine is lunch time where we choose which delicacies to savour. amoy's food is not bad though. It's through this bunch of collegues that i have learned to appreciate food much more. Lol. i can now understand why when pple start to work, one would pursue the quality of food. The reason i can thin of it that it's only during lunch and dinner that we can escape our mundane lifestyle of doing work. so in order to treat ourselves for working so hard we have to eat good food! waha. anyway there's the godlike wanton mee for $3 and big delicious fishball at $2.50, yu pian tang with rice is a treat with lots of yu pian and the tastry fried carrot cake. A guide to good food, Just see which queue is the longest and just queue behind them... waha of course that takes a lot of time too. learned about the system in amoy market, sometimes a packet of tissue, a brochure indicates that the person has reserved the seat. one tissue on one chair means on person sitting on the chair, a tissue on one third of the table of 6 chairs means 2 seats taken up and of course tissues on the table meant that the whole table is reserved. very interesting culture. The milk shakes at amoy are incredibly nice and tasty, ranging from avogado's milkshake to durian milkshake. some tasty milkshakes which i tried were durian, orange, honeydew, strawberry, and watermelon... shall try somemore than. Well if we have time we would tour around raffles place, we went to old changkee, subway that area and of course lots of office ladies, some are older than us and some are temps like us. It's quite a close knitted environment cos pple around that area really have impression of others. like who see who before blah blah. and of course information is dissipated at such alarming speed! like which pretty girl sits at the desk 2 tables away in the coy and which handome guy arrived in the office. There's an intensive communication network within companies in raffles place strung together to update the latest news and gossips... Enter the area of businss and accounting, i wonder do engineers like me get to work in raffles place? i doubt so... Anyway my job scobe is quite simple, we are just given a room, 5 temps in the room sorting out cashcards from boxes and putting them into cardholders then repack them into boxes. an air conditioned room plus we are given chairs to seat. It's quite a boring job but well there's always my lappie and radios to watch/listen. Nowaday;s it's about watching 4 movies well packing cashcards. Quite slack and the pay is $6.50 per hour. Cool. with my new collegues i learned more about finding jobs and knowing new people... Well basically i have yet to venture into the realm of sales, it fairs, promoters, telemarketing and customer service. My collegues been doing it fairs for some time and it fairs can really earn lots of $$, but then it comes down to the point of getting customers to close a deal with you, imagine spending 1 hour toking to a customer but yr customer buys from another collegue, this meant that yr comission just flew away... It fair @ may 31st, adecco doesn;t have any lobangs, but i think recruit express and HR are agencies that deals with such it fairs, thus think i will leave my name there. SITEX 2007 think will be working there ba... December thinking of working in a bank too, which means guixiong's connection comes into place. I think i enjoy work nowadays, afterall my job is slack and who gets to watch movies, tok cock and do work at the same time? Just hope that my boss doesn;t read my blog. whahahah
